Broadmoor United Methodist Church Catches Fire for a 2nd Time

The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to Broadmoor United Methodist Church early Friday morning for a reported structure fire. This was the second time in three days that a fire was reported at the church.

This morning the fire was contained to the church office and did not reach the actual sanctuary. The last fire was said to originate in a shed outside of the church. No injuries were reported in either fire.

Senior Pastor Rev. Donnie Wilkinson sent a statement out Wednesday asking for forgiveness of the suspected arsonist.

A spokesman for the Baton Rouge Fire Department said they ruled the first fire arson. No word yet on whether to 2 fires are related.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call Baton Rouge Fire Department Investigators at 225-354-1419.
