LSU Releases Statement Regarding 2020 Football Season

Earlier Louisiana State University released a detailed statement regarding the 2020 football season. In coordination with state public health officials, the Southeastern Conference and university officials, LSU Athletics today announced plans welcoming ticketed fans to Tiger Stadium for the 2020 football season. In order to accommodate fans and to comply with public health guidelines, LSU is implementing numerous changes to its gameday policies and Tiger Stadium will open the 2020

WBR: Republic to Conduct Normal Trash Pickup Monday

From WBRZ: Republic Waste Management services will conduct its normal rounds of garbage pick Monday ahead of Tropical Storm Marco.  The company says it will not be doing recycling pickup.  Republic announced that trash collections may have to start earlier out of precaution and that Tuesday and Wednesday pickups will be decided after 4 p.m Monday. 15 Residents Displaced After Late Night Fire on Macbeth

Around 10:00PM Wednesday night, the St. George Fire Department responded to a fire in the 5600 block of Macbeth Drive, off of Jones Creek in the southern portion of East Baton Rouge Parish. Arriving firefighters reported flames visible from the second story of an apartment there. Two residents from that apartment had escaped unharmed after being alerted by a smoke alarm.
