Baton Rouge Man, 21, Found Shot to Death in Vehicle Overnight

Baton Rouge Police Detectives are investigating the death of Demetri Phillips, 21 of 1520 N. 24th Street. Phillips was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, parked in the driveway of his residence last night around 10:00pm. He sustained apparent gunshot injuries. and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Baton Rouge Police have made an arrest in the April 9th shooting death of Daisy Blake, 32 of Clayton Dr. in Baton Rouge. Blake was shot and killed during a domestic dispute around 4:40 AM on Rosenwald Drive. The suspect, Byron Caston, 44, of 7437 Sussex St, was arrested today by the BRPD SRT team. The Baton Rouge Police Department is currently searching for a man who was last seen near the levee in downtown Baton Rouge. Police say Nichollas Perkins, 24, was last seen jogging near the levee.
